Back2Basics Outdoor Adventure Recovery philosophy is built upon five core components that are integrated throughout each program. The programs go beyond the basics of traditional drug and alcohol rehab to help every resident develop personal and group accountability, in addition to, responsibility. The five core components include; therapy and counseling, outdoor adventure, educations and life skills, culinary and nutrition, exercise and fitness. Back2Basics Outdoor Adventure Recovery offers a multiphase residential program for substance abuse and alcohol treatment for young adult males 18-30 years of age and accepts “private pay” or medical insurance. Back2Basics combines Therapeutic Counseling, Outdoor Adventure Recovery and a Residential Living Program to provide the best alternative and effective way to achieve long-term sobriety successfully.

Does your facility have doctors on staff? If so, are they available 24/7?
Our facility has a psychiatrist that visits with clients two times a week.
Does your facility have any after treatment job placement programs? If so, please explain what services might be available.
We have partnered with several local businesses that offer our clients job placement opportunities. We also offer our clients internships in our program.
Does your facility offer financing or scholarship programs?
We do not provide financing but we do offer partial scholarships based on a client's current financial situation.
What type of recreational activities are available at the treatment facility?
We provide a wide assortment of recreational activities. We have an outdoor adventure program that goes out every weekend. Our WFR (Wilderness First Responder) certified employees guide planned trips in and around the Northern Arizona area. These trips include river rafting, base camping, hiking trips, climbing, ropes courses, and many other fun and engaging trips. We also have membership to a full gym that includes volleyball, basketball, swimming, and a full workout room.
What types of meals or meal plans do you provide?
We have a fulltime chef that also doubles as a culinary instructor. We provide hearty and health conscious meals that support recovery. All clients participate in meal preparation with the guidance of our chef.
Do you offer Detox programs?
We do not have detox services at our facility but we have partnered with several agencies to offer these services if needed.
What type of phone, internet or Television privileges do you allow?
We offer limited access to phone, internet, and television. Clients first start with a 30-day blackout from family. After 30 days they are allowed to communicate with approved family members and close members of the family. Access to internet is allowed based on need. Television is allowed in the evening after dinner.
What are your facilities average length of stay or patient participation?
We have two programming options. The first one is a six month residential program that provides close monitoring of clients. After completion of this program, we also offer a six month transitional program that supports clients working, saving money, going to school, and building a life after treatment.
Do you provide both private room and shared room options? If rooms are shared, how many per room and what is the cost difference?
We do not offer private rooms. All rooms are shared. We have two clients per room.
What is your policy on visitors?
We do allow family and close relatives to visit for family weekend. Family weekend occurs every 2-3 months while in the residential program. If a client is accepted for the transitional living program, then family can visit more openly and readily.

We are Joint Commission Accredited.
What is the staff to resident ratio?
Our staff to resident ratio averages one staff to four clients.
What is the average length of stay at your facility?
Our clients average 12 months in our facility.
